I saw on the website that the monitors come with a relay harness. What do I need this for?

The Relay harness is a harness that connects into the back end of the sled monitor and then it has two relay outputs. one of these outputs can be connected to a horn for speed limited runs if the sled is pulled over the designated speed the horn will sound. The second relay is for for the staging light. this relay will not let the green light come on untill the sled monitor is in staged positon. thus preventing a run with the sled monitor not recording.

The relay harness for the M3 Sled Monitor Contains 2 x 30Amp automotive style relays to hook up an external horn/light. One is for the "staged" mode, which is when the pulling tractor is hooked and ready to pull & the sled operator puts the monitor into a staged mode where the monitor is ready to record a run. The second 30A relay is for a preset MPH limit. If this preset MPH is exceeded, the monitor will trigger the relay in the harness, which will in turn power on a light or horn or combination to notify everyone of a speed limit violation.
